We're launching soon in Cumbria and the beautiful Lake District
We believe that there isn’t a better time to launch a new and innovative marketplace to allow food and drink consumers to directly connect with the producers of their food. Understanding where your food comes from, how it is made and who makes it is of more interest to buyers than ever before.
Batchseed isn’t just another food website. We are aiming to improve the food supply chain by combining the best of sites like Etsy, Kickstarter and Naked Wines to form a unique platform that can reduce food waste and connect shoppers with makers direct. We also want to provide a unique insight for buyers into the value and quality of their food, how it’s made and who makes it.
Supporting our producers is a huge part of our business model and we aim to provide grassroots business support that will result in successful regional producers bringing new products to market and diversifying rural businesses. And that’s just the start! Our plans to add exciting new blockchain technologies will transform the supply chain. We are building partnerships with everyone from social media experts, photographers, logistics companies to suppliers of sustainable packaging.
If all that sounds exciting, we are delighted to announce that we are now getting ready to launch Batchseed in The Lake District and Cumbria supported by regional partners Thomas Jardine & Co. We are currently raising investment from angels and equity investors who share our vision for the Batchseed platform. If you would like to discuss the opportunity to invest in our business, we would be delighted to speak with you.
